ORDINANCE NO. 692
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 684
TO AMEND THE DEFINITION OF HABITABLE SPACES IN THE CITY OF KOSCIUSKO, MISSISSIPPI
SECTION 1. Section 2 of the International Property Maintenance Code of the City of Kosciusko is hereby amended to read as follows, to-wit:
(H) Section 404.4 of said code is hereby amended to read as follows: Kitchens and non habitable spaces shall not be used for sleeping purposes.
- No motor vehicle or trailer including, but not limited to, travel trailers, recreational vehicles, mobile tiny houses, and/or motor coaches, shall be used as a residence or as living quarters except within and approved recreational vehicle park. No recreational equipment, including, but not limited to: tents, tepees, yurts, and/or huts, shall be used as a residence or as living quarters.
- All homes are to be site built with a minimum of seven hundred square feet and follow the International Property Maintenance Code for lighting, ventilation, and occupancy limits of each dwelling unit. No storage building or like structure of similar build is allowed for residential habitation.
SECTION 2. All provisions of Ordinance No. 684 not inconsistent with this amendment thereto shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION THREE. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect one month from and after its passage.
SECTION FOUR. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to certified a copy of this Ordinance and to record same in the Ordinance Book; and to publish same one time in the Star-Harold Newspaper, a newspaper published in Attala County, Mississippi.
This Ordinance shall be codified as a part of the Municipal Code of the City of Kosciusko, Mississippi.
